Healthcare work often means building inside a hospital that stays open around you. That was the case at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital, where our San Antonio team completed a 15,000-square-foot renovation of the Level 1 emergency department. The scope also included exterior site improvements, a new ER drive-up entrance, and a dedicated ambulance loading and offloading area, all delivered while the ED stayed in service. Vascular surgeon? Any recommendations for a vascular surgeon? I just got diagnosed with a Splenic Artery Aneurysm which is 1 cm. I’m in the Baptist Health system and was told there’s no one in that system that handles that diagnosis. So being referred over to UK. I have a family history of aneurysms, I’ve been having symptoms for 2 months or more, I have other conditions, there’s another smaller aneurysm next to that one. So Definately figure I’m in for surgery. I’m absolutely terrified. Anyone have any helpful information? Drs they KNOW are good? Someone with or had similar situation?

SATX Hospital Systems Advice Hey all, For those of you in the San Antonio, Texas area, what are your thoughts on the major hospital systems in the area? I'm currently at Methodist and looking for a change due to toxic administration/unit leadership. I'm not naive enough to expect any fairy tales waiting for me elsewhere, but HCA has definitely been tightening their control of the culture. Specifically, I'm wondering about: \-University, especially with them planning to expand. \-Baptist Health System, as their new Campus in Boerne would be a great commute if I get my foot in the door now. \-Christus, because it's not Methodist. I have a background in Medical & CVICU, but I'm definitely open to other areas and have specifically been pondering about moving into the pediatric ICU. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
