The labor & delivery nurses who spend their days helping families welcome new life are experiencing those same milestones together.
These two dozen nurses at Andrews Women’s Hospital at Baylor Scott & White Health All Saints in Fort Worth work long shifts while pregnant, supporting one another through every trimester, many even choosing to deliver their own babies at the very hospital where they work… placing their trust in the same coworkers they care for patients alongside every day!
Some nurses even delivered their best friends’ babies! 🩷💙
And there’s one tradition that makes this story even more special: a shared delivery gown worn by staff members for years. 🥺
After each baby is born, the baby’s initials are added to the gown.
More than 45 babies have been born in the original gown, which is now proudly displayed in the unit, while a new gown continues the tradition for the next generation of Baylor babies.
It’s a story about more than babies. It’s about trust, friendship, and the sisterhood that forms when the people who help bring life into the world become mothers together.

A few members of one of our crews were recognized today at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Grapevine for their great work on a recent patient who was experiencing a heart attack.
They quickly initiated a code STEMI, which is an emergency hospital protocol that activates synchronized action from doctors, nurses, and paramedics to help save a patient experiencing life-threatening heart conditions.
The crew's swift decision, along with the actions of all rescuers involved, resulted in a positive outcome for the patient. Job well done, all! #CFDstrong
