🏗️ Tower cranes have become a common site in the core neighborhoods of Fort Worth recently, with sixteen currently in operation. This marks the most tower cranes in our 10 years of tracking (surpassing 15 in summer 2016) and possibly the most in Fort Worth’s history. Active projects with tower cranes include: 1 at the Van Zandt 1 at Crescent Real Estate LLC Offices West 1 at the Westbend Residences 1 at The Merrimac 1 at the JPS Health Network Medical Outpatient Building 2 at the Moncrief Cancer Institute 2 at Cook Children's Health Care System’s West Tower 2 at Westside Village Fort Worth Village 5 at various projects across the Texas Christian Universitycampus This time a year ago there was only a single project with a tower crane, the Texas A&M-Fort Worth Law and Education Building, which has since been removed as the building nears opening in August. The number is expected to climb higher as more high-profile projects move forward, such as the JPS new hospital, the expansion of the Fort Worth Convention Center, the Texas A&M Fort Worth Research and Innovation Building, future Westside Village phases and many more.
