Nexplanon

Getting my nexplanon replaced I tried to look my question up because I KNOW someone has asked it. But I can’t find anything here or on the nexplanon website, so I’m asking for myself. I’ve had nexplanon and it is about to expire, I’m getting it replaced, do I have to wait 7 days before it’s effective? I’m trying to plan a trip and I realized my replacement falls right before when I’m planning on leaving. Obviously I don’t want any risk of pregnancy. Thanks for answering (and because there’s almost always that one person, YES I will be talking to my doctor about my concerns, but I gotta book this trip now and I can not see my doctor until next month)

Removal- lack of period? Just seeing if anyone has had a similar experience. On nexplanon I didn’t have a period for a year and then oh and off throughout the rest. Had it removed early November 2025. Had my first period 2nd feb. Then 24th March. Then 24th April. Nothing since??? I did go to docs whilst I was on it for something else and ultrasound looked like PCOS but she said she couldn’t be sure because of the implant mimicking it, which is apparently common. It’s over 6 months now since I came off and after seeming regular haven’t had my period since April. Should I be concerned? FYI also not pregnant- did a test twice.
